Post 8. English Language Challenges

I think learning English at university is fun and much more relaxed than at school. I remember that I used to get panic attacks and anxiety when speaking in English. Today I can say that this is over and although I get nervous I could defend myself against English.

As far as blogs go, I can only say that I LOVE them. It's a way to share thoughts, ideas and memories with other people. It serves as therapy when the race is getting terrible, and it's also a way to apply what I've learned in class, in the movies and at home.

I think in my case I need to start thinking in English, watch series in English, read in English and get my brain used to the fact that English is a friend.

Currently, I have three languages in my head and sometimes it is hard to separate them. for example sometimes sentences like "Quiero juice de appelsin" (I want orange juice) come out. It's funny because the word in the language that comes to my mind first is the one I use.

In my family we speak 3 languages (Spanish, English and Norwegian), and many times English is the language to communicate with each other.

My brothers make a great effort to learn Spanish and I make an effort to learn Norwegian.

When you hear a language you don't understand it is frustrating but you have to persevere and keep learning.
