Post 8. English Language Challenges

I think learning English at university is fun and much more relaxed than at school. I remember that I used to get panic attacks and anxiety when speaking in English. Today I can say that this is over and although I get nervous I could defend myself against English.  As far as blogs go, I can only say that I LOVE them. It's a way to share thoughts, ideas and memories with other people. It serves as therapy when the race is getting terrible, and it's also a way to apply what I've learned in class, in the movies and at home.  I think in my case I need to start thinking in English, watch series in English, read in English and get my brain used to the fact that English is a friend.  Currently, I have three languages in my head and sometimes it is hard to separate them. for example sometimes sentences like "Quiero juice de appelsin" (I want orange juice) come out. It's funny because the word in the language that comes to my mind first is the one I use.  In my famil...

Post 7 CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Hello my dear bilingual readers, today's topic is changes to my study programme.  In general, architecture has a very complete program since it covers the areas of technology and mathematics, urban planning, design, research and workshops. It has always been commented that the architecture career is demanding and time consuming for students. There are some weeks when students are overwhelmed with work and tests.  I would add more basic courses of the career, some technical drawing course since not all students obtained these knowledge from their respective schools / high schools.   The course lasts 11 semesters but most students finish in 12 semesters or more. I believe that this happens because of the collision of some courses.  During these two years of studies, I have only been to school 3 times. It is a heritage building, which I personally don't like the color. In pictures you can see very nice spaces inside the faculty.  As for the use of techno...

Blog Post 6 Topic: Time travel to the future

Hello my dear bilingual readers, today's topic is travel to the future. I think everyone would like to travel back in time, especially to the past. But I would like to go to not so distant events like the end of the world due to climate change caused by beings wrongly called "humans" or to natural events like the end of our nearest star.  These are two events for which the time of collapse is estimated but in reality it is uncertain, imprecise, unpunctual, conceptual.  I would like to be there because they are two events which would condition human life and where people would really realize that the world is crumbling because of climate change (which was in our hands to solve) or that without the sun there is no life on earth unless technological advances until that time support the whole world.  I would not like to stay because until today (as far as we know) in the time of each of those events we would not exist. Many times people don't realize their actions until...

Blog Post 5. My future job

Hello my dear bilingual readers, today's topic is my future job. I once saw a PDI report detailing the death of a man (I know, very bizarre). In that report there were plans detailing the entire crime scene. I would like to work on that.  In a job like that, you work in different locations both indoors and outdoors. Although now that I think about it, it must be creepy to be at a crime scene.  Another job I'd like to have in the future is ... I guess I'm not sure. But I do know that I would like to continue studying, after 4 semesters in college I realized that I really like calculus. Maybe I will study some engineering.  Then, I could say that my job in the future would be one that mixes engineering and architecture, where I can travel a lot. On the subject of salary, I would like to earn enough to be able to afford to travel, to be able to have a car to drive around Latin America and Chile.  I think it is nice to dream of a fun job, without schedules and with...
